Experience something truly unique at the Domus del Chirurgo in Rimini, the extraordinary house that once belonged to Eutyches, a physician who lived in the 2nd century AD. This guided tour will take you through the rooms where he lived and worked, including the famous medical shop (taberna medica), where an ancient inscription remembers him as a “good man.” You will admire some of the most fascinating Imperial Roman mosaics, including the refined Orpheus mosaic and elegant geometric floors that once decorated the private areas of the house.
During the visit, you will also discover all the historical periods revealed by the excavations: from the Roman domus to the Late Antique complex with its new mosaics, and the medieval structures that tell the story of centuries of transformation in the area. The tour continues at the Museo della Città, where the extraordinary finds are displayed: more than 150 surgical instruments, a refined Pynax, furnishings, and decorations that reveal the daily life and professional activity of Eutyches. An engaging journey through mosaic art, Roman medicine, and centuries of history.
