One of the first things you probably picture when you hear the word Rimini is the sea, with its beautiful, well-equipped beach that goes on for days. It’s an amazing beach all year round, be it during the colourful, lively summer months or the meditative winter season. From Torre Pedrera to Miramare, the natural effects of the wind and sea over the millennia have created over ten kilometres of fine golden sand, forming a buffer between the Adriatic and the mainland.
Whatever the season, if you’ve never put your feet on the sand in Rimini, you need to do so ASAP. It almost feels like an ancestral massage, as if you’re being pampered by millions of impalpable grains. The sand in Rimini is so unique that people are actually forbidden from removing more than half a bucket of it from the beach!

But the city beach is known for much more than its fine golden sands overlooking a calm expanse of water… it’s also known for sun, sea, sports, relaxation, and delicious food. It is a well-equipped and safe beach, suitable for all ages.
It is a place to relax on a sunbed or to play endless games of beach tennis. It is the perfect spot for a romantic fish dinner washed down with a refreshing glass of Rebola dei Colli di Rimini, or to sail the waves aboard a catamaran or paddle board.
That’s right… from morning yoga by the sea to evening beach parties, Rimini beach should be your first port of call when exploring this wonderful city.

If you’re lucky enough to be in the area at the right time, severalannual events take place just a stone’s throw fromthe shore. Take Paganello – The Ultimate Beach Experience, for example, which is the world’s most famous Ultimate-Frisbee tournament and it takes place every spring – usually during the Easter holidays – on the beach in Rimini. Or perhaps you like the sound of Un Mare di Vino and Un Mare di Fuoco, two very special summer events hosted at a charming beach location during the evening.
Un Mare di Vino (which usually takes place in the last week of July) celebrates DOC wines made on the hills surrounding Rimini and sees local wineries come together with the best bands in Rimini. Enjoy a stroll along the seashore– glass in hand –as you sample excellent local wines and listen to enthralling tunes.
Un Mare di Fuoco (which takes place the night before Ferragosto) is an original fire juggling and flame performance festival that sees Italy’s best performers come together on the waterfront for an exciting evening of energy, rhythm and warmth.
