The Fellini Museum is an extensive project dedicated to the great Rimini film director Federico Fellini and included by the Ministry of Culture among the great national cultural projects. The museum was conceived not to commemorate the great director, but to enhance the relevance of the immense cultural and artistic heritage that Fellini left behind.
The Fellini Museum is located in three separate places in the historic centre of Rimini: Castel Sismondo, Palazzo del Fulgor and Piazza Malatesta.
The museum tour includes the projection of rare films and the exhibition of props from Fellini’s masterpieces. One room of the museum is dedicated to a diary in which Fellini wrote down his dreams. At the Palazzo del Fulgor, screenings from his films are scheduled, while in Piazza Malatesta, in addition to light games and installations, a fountain has been placed to reproduce the fog effect present in the film Amarcord.
